Welcome to the Philippines-Australia Landcare Project

This project is a special joint initiative of the Philippines and Australia to help develop and evaluate Landcare in upland rural communities in the southern Philippines. The project is now into a third phase.

Information on the project is available from the drop-down boxes located at the top of the page under Project and Information. Note that the site is arranged in convenient 'page windows', which allow you to individually print out the pages of interest to you. Use the print buttons at the bottom of each page window.

Landcare book

Published in November 2004, the book Philippines Landcare – Stories of People and Places contains the personal Landcare stories from over 50 people involved in Philippines Landcare, including Landcare pioneers, farmers, government workers, facilitators, community representatives, private industry and project personnel. The full colour book consists of 170 pages and contains over 190 photographs and maps.

A complete pdf of the book is available on the ACIAR website www.aciar.gov.au/web.nsf/doc/ACIA-66CW4P. A print copy of the book can be purchased on the same site for AUD$45.

Project working papers

The project is communicating its outputs, outcomes and achievements through a series of working papers. These are being progressively produced and released as particular research components are completed.
