Project on show at the International Landcare Conference in Melbourne

At the International Landcare Conference in Melbourne in October, our project had a special presence through an exhibition booth manned by project staff in the Landcare Exhibition held throughout the conference. More than 600 conference delegates visited our booth over the three days of the conference with just under 100 registering their names in our supporters book for special follow-up after the conference. While some of these were interested in getting our project publications, many were interested in offering support, volunteering, information exchanges and “sister” arrangements with Australian and other country landcare groups. Interestingly, about 14 indicated interest in attending the proposed Philippines Landcare Congress in August 2007. Some key people rated our booth the best in the Exhibition, not only for its appearance and ambience, but also for the enthusiasm of our project staff.
